I had one main idea for this project. I wanted to do something where my friend, who in real life totally ignores traffic rules, ignores traffic rules. Her friend tells her to be careful and not cross the street, but she doesn’t listen, so she walks forward. She gets hit by a car (surprise, surprise.) She descends into hell (where the animation starts.) I’ll either fully animate her (not preferred) or make her a sprite to move around. A little devil guides her to the “front desk of hell,” where this overworked demon kind of dismisses her and tells her to start filling out forms + a bunch of other bureaucratic red tape. She pleads with him to take a closer look at her name and see if she’s actually on the list and he reluctantly does so. He’s suprised to see they actually made a mistake and is like, “oh my b,” and turns to Jerry, the guy that files everything for hell. Jerry is very high and is holding a joint. The front desk demon gets kind of pissed and is like, “are you seriously smoking again?” I want them to get into an unserious debate about vapes, bongs, and rolled weed, talking about the health values of each. (Maybe Jerry is a guy who died from lung cancer; you can see his ribcage and blackened lungs.) My friend is still there at the front desk, looking at them both incredulously. “Hey, can you guys fix this or something, please?” They both turn to her and are like, “oh yeah, yeah, got it.” they kick her back up from hell, and she wakes up on the road, staring up at my other friend like, “What happened?”
