Project 3 Brainstorm

This may be difficult to accomplish but I feel like I have a specific vision for this project. I think I tend to lean pretty feminist on this sort of thing- so here we go again. I’m going to use two mannequins, I was hoping for something unisex but I found that difficult to find. I’m going to project onto the mannequins and use different videos that showcase different relationships. Think

Bees and flowers

Blades and meat

Bird and worms

Water and the gills of a dying fish

Fire and wood

Wax and fire

Peanut butter and jelly

Two circulatory systems

Fireworks and nothingness

Moths and fire

Fireflies and stars

Moon and water

Typewriter and paper

Eye and flashing lights

Neurons and muscles

Blood and wool

I don’t know though. If I have a budget maybe this isn’t a good bang for my buck. I may be better off projecting onto sheets or something else like stuffed animals or canvases. The biggest challenge is making something that can be easily replicated in the setup time. I could do something about ghosts using sheets and a fan, these ghosts could appear on the sheets and disappear and travel between the sheets. I could get glass or mirrors and picture frames. I could also have a stuffed animal where two hands are trying to clutch it but obviously it doesn't work because it's just light. Maybe I could use missing posters and old milk cartons? I’ll go thrifting and grab items that used to be someone else’s.
